Innovative site gave me encouragement
"I wanted to thank you - your innovative Disability Writes site gave me encouragement at a time when illness prompted a need for positive reinforcement. I think the environment you created and foster is wonderful and gave us who are disabled a voice which we would not have had otherwise.
I have been awarded a national grant for my poetry - an enexpected honour. The encouragement and kind words from you and my fellow website authors gave me pause to take a more critical look at my poetry. I credit your site with helping me to continue engaging myself with the art during a very rough spot of physical illness in my life. The illness persists but so has the artsitic spirit you helped rekindle.
I am proud to be a member of the founding circle of authors for Disability Writes."
