National Disability Arts Forum Seek Podcasts

So what is podcasting? They describe a podcast as; “a web feed of audio (or video) files placed on the Internet for anyone to subscribe to” and say they are nearly ready to get started. What they need now is your input.
Send them your:
* music (MP3, WAV or AIFF would be handy)
* poems and short stories, either recorded, or send them the texts and they will record them for you.

NDAF say; “Don't worry too much about the sound quality, but please make sure you provide the texts (including lyrics!) for our transcripts for deaf people who want to use the podcasts. Also, add some information about yourself in e format."

NDAF advise that if you are looking for an easy and inexpensive way to record, download the free recording software Audacity from:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ (info for visually impaired users at http://audacityteam.org/wiki/ index.pl?AudacityForBlindUsers ) and get a cheap USB headset with microphone and headphones for your computer. Or, even simpler, use an MP3 player with recording facility.

NDAF aim to podcast once a month, with music and writing by
well and lesser known disabled artists, as well as specials
such as ‘artists of the month’ features.

Send your gems to Silvie Fisch, silviefish@yahoo.com, or
NDAF, 59 Lime Street, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 2PQ.
Please note: Materials will not be returned (but archived).
NDAF reserve the right to refuse submissions at our
discretion.
