Subscribing using Personal Budgets
Despite worries for many about cuts to their services, disabled people in some local authorities are being successful in organising their support plans to include a wide range of activities and opportunities; Disability Writes being one of them. The picture across the UK is mixed and it would be wrong to present the view of disabled people happily and easily receiving the funds to pursue their interests; for many this is far from the case. If you want to subscribe to Disability Writes and think you may be eligible for a Personal Budget or simply want to find out more contact your local social care offices or any organisation that offers advice, information or advocacy for disabled people in your area.
