The Disabled Shop Blogging Competition: Winners

First place goes to Stef of Grymm and Epic for her eulogy to a Miniscope http://www.thedisabledshop.com/Blog/2010/12/eulogy-to-my-miniscope/ Stef wins £250 for her fantastic and funny ode to her long-gone vision aid.

Two further budding disabled bloggers also won commendations and further cash prizes. Ellen Denton wrote a very moving post called The Cure: An Alzheimers Story http://www.thedisabledshop.com/Blog/2010/12/the-cure-an-alzheimers-story/ while Candice in 25 reasons why being a Lyme Patient automatically makes you a bad ass http://infectiousoptimism.blogspot.com/2010/07/25-reasons-why-being-lyme-patient.html shows off her toughness, optimism - and humour!

“We have had a fantastic reaction to the competition, and are delighted with both the quantity and the quality of the entries,” said Jean Rasbridge, founder and director of The Disabled Shop. “And, following the success of the blogging competition, we look forward to running many more competitions in the future!”

We would like to thank Liz at Disability Writes, and her colleague at mosaic for undertaking the difficult task of selecting the winner.
